I am available for pre-purchase and insurance surveys in Kalamata. It takes me about 3-4 hours to travel there. I regularly do surveys there.
Kalamata marina has a travelift and hard standing area so it is possible to arrange to take the yacht out of the water for part of the inspection. Handling was good.
The marina is operated by K&G Medmarinas and is decent although some of the berths are not suitable for the winter because of the configuration of the breakwater. The town is large with all facilities and is nice and quiet outside summer. The marina is near the commercial port but is separate and private. There is a small liveaboard community there. Repairs are available via the various contractors. Travel to Athens is possible by air and ktel bus.
