| In 2008, I decided to pursue some professional development training so I trained at the International Boatbuilding Training College, Lowestoft, gaining a Diploma with merit from the YDSA endorsed Practical Yacht and Small Craft Survey Course. |
| In 2009, I went back to IBTC Lowestoft and trained on the "Introduction to Wooden Boat Surveying" course. |
| In 2011 I began to work as an independent surveyor. |
